Bettija’rt |wine.art.living is an exciting initiative by the Delicata winery that seeks to fuse Malta’s best wines, the arts and good living.

Spotlight on the 2019 Bettija’rts Artists

Delicata proudly presents the ten artists that have been chosen to take part in the inaugural art competition.

Presently, they are busy directing their creativity and artistic skills towards the transformation of a decommissioned barrique (a wine barrel or bettija in Maltese) into a stunning work of art (dubbed a bettija’rt).

The inspiration and theme of this year’s art contest is “the joys of wine, art and good living in Malta today and through the ages”.

The collective art exhibition of all bettija’rts shall be staged at Is-Suq Tal-Belt Food Market, located in the heart of the nation’s capital, Valletta, from 12 March to 15 April 2019.

The competition is decided by public vote and jury decision.
