Delicata’s next 10-Mile Wine Experience and Dinner showcasing their award-winning wines is set to take place at Vermell Bistro, at the water’s edge of Spinola Bay, St. Julian’s on Wednesday evening 30th April 2014.

This event is the next one in a series of themed dinners prepared by some of the finest chefs on the Maltese Islands and narrated by wine professional Georges Meekers.

This event shall showcase award-winning wines by Delicata made from hand-picked grapes sourced from vineyards within about a 10 mile radius from the venue. The home-grown wines are carefully matched to a cornucopia of seafood dishes prepared by Vermell’s kitchen brigade. The list includes Delicata’s 2013 Gran Cavalier Sauvignon Blanc that recently won a Gran Menzone at Vinitaly as well as Malta’s unique Medina Sangiovese – just to name a couple. The sumptuous tasting menu consists of no less than eight dishes of various types of seafood and fish to share.

Your hosts for the evening are patrons Kleaven Cassar and Amy Camilleri, and wine raconteur Georges Meekers who have been busy test-tasting dishes and wines.

This 10-mile wine and dine experience with a difference begins at 7.00 pm with a 20-minute introduction to Malta’s modern wine industry by Georges Meekers who will field questions over a refreshing glass of Maltese sparkling wine and light hors d’oeuvres.

Dinner is served at 8.00 pm when the kitchen brigade takes over and awakens your palate to a truly coastal-centric menu, using their creative culinary talents and an assortment of nature’s bounty. Waiting staff will escort the guests to their dinner table with splendid views over the scintillating Spinola Bay.

The wines as well as mineral water, dessert and coffee course are included in the price of €50 per person. Special dietary needs can be catered for upon request. Seats are limited and reservations are recommended. Call Vermell Bistro on +(356) 3137 5567, +(356) 7902 0991.
